The Indoor Outdoor  was originally designed to be held indoors, so all the arenas are 50m X 20m.

​

There are 3 Phases to the event

  1. Paces and Precision(Dressage)

  2. Cones

  3. Obstacles(2)

The event will run in this order and straight after one another.

​

11.30am: Lunch and club meeting at the canteen

Program

Event 1: INDOOR CARRIAGE DRIVING

A: Precision and paces

Arena 50 x 20m

Indoor driving test No. 2017-1-all classes

​

B: Cones

Driven at 220 metres per minute. No stopwatches allowed.

 

C: Obstacles

2 sets of obstacles which will be completed twice (second time in reverse)

​

Event 2: SPEED CONES

One round. Fastest, clear round wins.

CLASSES (For both events)

​

Classes

  1. VSE under 91cm

  2. Single pony 91cm and under 121cm 

  3. Single pony 121cm and under 149cm 

  4. Single horse over 149 cm 

  5. Multiple any height

  6. Junior driver over 10 yrs. to 15yrs  (Junior drivers over 15 yrs. will drive in horse height class)

 

Conditions of entry

  1. The event will be judged under current Australian Indoor Horse driving Rules and any additional conditions included in the schedule

  2. Drivers must be full members of ACDS and horses must be ACDS registered.

  3. All competitors compete at their own risk

  4. Junior drivers aged 11 and under must be accompanied in the vehicle by an adult ACDS member (an experienced driving person) seated next to the driver at all times and holding a second pair of reins attached to the bit. Junior drivers 10-15 must be accompanied in the vehicle by an adult ACDS member.

  5. Livestock control: Entrants must compete a horse health declaration on arrival to the secretary.

  6. Dress code: Marathon wear for drivers and groom. Protective headgear is compulsory in accordance with ACDS rules.

  7. Parents are responsible for supervision of children at all times.

  8. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and owners to clean up after them.
