GOOMBUNGEE MINI ENDURO

The aim of this event is to encourage new competitors to the sport of Endurance driving as well as give regular competitors an extra event in which to compete.

All classes open to singles and multiples.

Classes

 

Class 1.  Horse over 149cm. approx. 30 kms per day with a 30 minute rest stop at the halfway point. 

Class 2. Large Pony over 121cm and not exceeding 149cm. approx. 30 kms per day with a 30 minute rest stop at the halfway point. 

 

Class 3. Small Pony under 121cm.  approx. 30 kms per day with a 30 minute rest stop at the halfway point.

 

Class 4.  Horse over 149cm. approx. 15 kms per day    

 

Class 5. Large Pony over 121cm and not exceeding 149cm.  approx. 15 kms per day

 

Class 6. Small Pony under 121cm. approx. 30 kms per day

 

Class 7. Short Course. All size Equines. approx. 6-10 kms per day

 

Class 8. Non Competitive – any size equine and any length course

 

Grooms compulsory for Junior and Multiple Drivers. Optional in all other classes.

Minimum age of all equines is 4years, all competing horses/ponies to be shod or APPROVED Rubber boot worn

Competitors will be required to bring their own horse feed and portable yards or Electric fencing. 

Camping

Camping prior to and after the event is available at Goombungee Showground. Powered sites, fresh water, toilet, hot showers and coin operated washing machine and dryer available. 

Conditions of entry

  1. The Enduro will be conducted in accordance with the ACDS guide for Pleasure, Endurance and Historical events and any additional conditions included in the schedule

  2. Drivers must be full members of ACDS and horses must be ACDS registered.

  3. All competitors compete at their own risk

  4. Junior drivers aged 11 and under must be accompanied in the vehicle by an adult ACDS member (an experienced driving person) seated next to the driver at all times and holding a second pair of reins attached to the bit. Junior drivers 10-15 must be accompanied in the vehicle by an adult ACDS member.

  5. Livestock control: Entrants must compete a horse health declaration on arrival to the secretary.

  6. Dress code: Marathon wear for drivers and groom. Protective headgear is compulsory for Junior drivers in accordance with ACDS rules. Adults are optional.

  7. Parents are responsible for supervision of children at all times.

  8. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and owners to clean up after them.
